“The Seven Last Words of Christ” by Franz Joseph Haydn

Join us for a mystical Good Friday when we present Haydn’s immortal seven movement masterpiece from 1783. Written for a service at Oratorio de la Santa Cueva (Holy Cave Oratory) in Cádiz, Spain, St. Cyprians will have seven lay and clergy representatives from our diverse congregations each giving a brief and unique reflection on each of those seven last statements in the story of the crucifixion of Christ. The award winning Telegraph Quartet will perform a movement between each reflection.
